Disruptive, powerful, and gentle toward people and the environment
The starting block
Oh! The innovator and chemist Jan-Olof Eriksson is on the move, a stinging pain pricks at his foot, but he barely notices it. Not right at that moment. He is on vacation in Thailand, enjoying the warmth, sun and beautiful beaches. But once he’s back home in Skellefteå, a small, unassuming sting has turned into blood poisoning and a wound that won’t heal.
Grundbulten
Jan-Olof's solution became a granulate that activates upon contact with water and initiates a chemical process. When he tested it on himself, this is what happened: with the granulate in a foot bath, his wounds healed. This became the core idea behind the company Biocool, founded in 2012, and the principle that all of our products are built on.
Exciting oxygen molecules
How does it work chemically?
Put simply, it is oxygen molecules excited to singlet oxygen, a kind of oxygen explosion, that creates an environment where bacteria, fungi and viruses cannot thrive. For the skin, our largest organ, and our most important defense line against infections, this is a dream! No harsh chemicals, irritated skin and unnecessary use of medication.
But how does this connect to clean water tanks and fresh drinking water?
Water, feet and face
Several areas of use
Jan-Olof realized fairly quickly that his discovery was not just good for the skin. He began experimenting with cleaning water and water tanks.
The result of that is what today is the Biocool brand. Chemical-technical products for cleaning water tanks, drinking water, and spas.
The products for feet, body, and face have been available under the BIOpH brand for a few years now.
Proven and certified
With strong investors backing us, we have invested and continue to invest in clinical studies, laboratory tests, company-wide ISO certifications, and much more.
