Winterize Your Boat Already in the Fall

The freshwater tank must be "preserved" before winter. Old water causes buildup in the hoses that collects bacteria. Open all onboard taps and flush out all water. Mix a solution of tank cleaning agent and water, then pour it into the tank. Refill it with freshwater again and let this mixture sit in the tank for at least six hours (times can vary between different products). Empty the tank completely of water again.
